The purpose of the GIWA Pulse Council is to represent the WA Pulse industry. Areas of focus include:
- Support for Pulse Australia and the setting of pulse standards
- Pre-competitive market development for lupins as food
- Research and capacity building for treatment of alkaloids in Lupins
- Support for pulse extension (lupins, chickpeas, red lentils, field peas, faba beans) & disease management in WA
