Annual GIWA Event open to the barley industry

The GIWA Barley Forum took place on Monday, 26th July at Crown Perth. Downloads available to the right.
The presentation made by Blakely Paynter, DPIRD, on behalf the GIWA Barley Council summarised the consultation process undertaken with the barley industry including breeders, growers, bulk-handlers, maltsters, brewers and domestic and export traders to develop an agreed position on barley variety rationalisation, and the resultant recommendations for the 2022/23 harvest receivals.
Should you wish to make an alternative recommendation to that in the DRAFT table below (also on the GIWA website), please provide that recommendation in writing, including the reasoning that supports your recommendation, by email to [email protected] by Friday, 6th August 2021. Any alternative recommendations received will be considered by the GIWA Barley Council, after which the final 2022/23 harvest receival recommendations will be publicised.
