The State Government funded and industry-led Processed Oat Partnership (POP) will host WA oat researchers, growers and industry stakeholders at OATSPO in Hillside on Tuesday 15 September 2026, alongside ConsultAg’s Garren Knell, who is coordinating the current site and was instrumental in the delivery of OATSPO in 2024.
OATSPO is an agronomic showcase providing an overview of the latest oat research being undertaken across the State while offering attendees a walk through the Oat Tech trial and research site with more than ten oat growing trials. It is an opportunity to focus on the developments within the WA oat industry with a focus on breeding, innovation and market access expansion. OATSPO showcase current oat research and developments, including the latest varieties and the agronomic packages that maximise their yield and grain quality. This is a day not to be missed by West Australian oat and hay producers.
Registration is required for this free half-day event to assist with logistics and catering. Arrival at 12.30pm for a prompt start. Afternoon tea will be provided and the event finishes with a BBQ and sundowner.
